Brief summary:

This half day workshop will look at the significance and impact of social media in relation to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and abuse. Participants will gain knowledge and awareness of CSE, models of grooming, gaming and cyberbullying, inappropriate images, legislation, online safety and reporting. 

At the end of this event participants will be able to:

  • Understand CSE models and the vulnerabilities of children and young people
  • Understand the significance and impact of social media in relation to CSE and abuse
  • Gain knowledge of issues related to gaming, cyberbullying and inappropriate images
  • Gain awareness of legislation, reporting and online safety

Who should attend?

Anyone who works with children and young people and/or who wants a better understanding of issues of social media and CSE and abuse.

This workshop does not include an assessment. On completion, participants will be provided with a certificate of attendance which will include the CPD hours achieved.
